With the gift of God and with the blessing of His Most Reverend Father Calinic, Archbishop of Suceava and Rădăuților, the book „Life in Christ in the horizon of authority and moral freedom” was published by Crimca Publishing House, with Father Filaret Ruscan - diocesan counselor in the Pastoral Mission and Christian Actuality sector.
In order to culminate this effort to compose and edit the work mentioned above, on December 15, 2021, the book was launched to the general public, concerned with the theme of becoming in Christ by maintaining a balance between authority and freedom.
The event was hosted in the chapel of the Theological Seminary „St. Metropolitan Metropolitan Dosoftei” in Suceava, led with devotion by Archdeacon Prof. Dr. Bogdan Hrișcă as director. Among the guests were Fr. Prof. Gheorghe Popa - the scientific leader of the work, archd. drd. Ionuț Ispoescu - counselor in the Theological Educational Sector of the Archdiocese of Suceva and Rădăuților, teachers and students from the Sucevan seminary.
During the lectures the importance of the presented work was emphasized and it was stressed that in the life of the Church the question of authority and freedom must be carefully examined because otherwise undesirable situations can easily arise in the wrong manifestation of the two concepts.
At the same time, Fr. Professor Gheorghe Popa - the holder of the Moral Theology Department of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology „Dumitru Stăniloae” in Iasi made some essential clarifications to motivate those present in the study of theology out of love for God and the application of what has been studied with great responsibility.
In the same context, Fr. Ionuț Isopescu spoke about the theological depth of thought and seriousness in behavior of the professors at the Faculty of Theology in Iasi, which has placed this institution among the most prestigious and beautiful fields of research.
At the end, Father Bogdan Hrișcă thanked the distinguished guests for their presence and emphasized that this event fits very well in the sphere of the anniversary days, dedicated to the celebration of three decades since the founding of the Orthodox Theological High School Seminary „St. Metropolitan Metropolitan Dosoftei”.
