His Eminence Calinic, Archbishop of Suceava and Rădăuților, chaired on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, the monastic synaxis meeting with the abbots and abbesses of the diocese, which took place at the „Metropolitan Iacob Putneanul” Center of Putna Monastery.
The meeting began with the Holy Mass celebrated by His Eminence the Most Reverend Father Damaschin Dorneanul, Vicar-Bishop of the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuților, followed by the presentations by the Monastic Alexandra Crețu, from the Monastery of Dragomirna, on the theme Prayer in the Old Testament and by Protosinginghelul Hrisostom Ciuciu, from Putna Monastery, with the theme Prayer in the New Testament.
There followed plenary discussions on the two reports, after which the father counselors from the Eparchial Center of Suceava presented the specific proposals of the sectors they coordinate, proposals that concretely address the work of monasteries in relation to the work of the Church.
Then, Fr. Ciprian Blaga, counselor from the Publishing and Printing Sector, presented the latest editorial publication of His Eminence Archbishop Calinic, the work The Lord's Prayer, A commentary for the man in a hurry, and the Cultural Exarch, Protosinginghelul Dosoftei Dijmărescu presented the work About divine grace, with Archim. Dosoftei Murariu, both published by Crimca Publishing House.
At the end of the session, as a sign of gratitude for the rich and beautiful work accomplished at Sucevița Monastery, His Eminence the Archbishop conferred The Order „The Cross of St. M. M. Mc. John the New of Suceava”, The Mother Abbess, Mother Superior Mihaela Cozmei.
