The Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuților invites you to the first cultural event organized at the Eparchial Center in 2023. To mark in a special way National Culture Day, with the blessing of His Most Reverend Father Archbishop Calinic, in the „Pimen Archbishop” Hall of the Suceava Eparchial Center will take place on Monday, January 16, 2023, the conference „The Culture that Unites Us”. The lecture will be given by writer and literary critic Adrian Alui Gheorghe, starting at 13:00.
During the conference will also take place the launch of the book of stories and reflections „Do you believe that I love you?”, signed by protos. Iustin Taban from Putna Monastery, the book being among the most recent publications of the Publishing House Crimca of the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuților.
As a token of gratitude to the Romanian national poet Mihai Eminescu, the Psaltic Group „Dimitrie Suceveanu” of the Archiepiscopal Cathedral of Suceava will perform a mini-concert of songs with an Eminescu's patriotic theme.
The conference, organized by the Cultural Sector of the Eparchial Centre and moderated by Fr. Constantin Oprea, will be broadcast LIVE on the Facebook page of the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuților.
January 15 was declared in homage to the Romanian national poet Mihai Eminescu (January 15, 1850 - June 15, 1889), National Culture Day, by the adoption of the legislative initiative submitted in this regard by the Chamber of Deputies on November 16, 2010, the decree for the promulgation of the Law being signed on December 6, 2010.
